Crochet Bedspread Pattern, Round Flower Medallions

Galaxy No 648:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the bedspread pictured.   This bedspread, crocheted in two colors, or tone-on-tone features a pretty flower center surrounded by a lacy motif for a round medallion that measures 4-1/2 inches.  The flower alone fills as a fill-in motif.  "Colorful – exciting – hundreds of circles combine two colors or two tones to make a spread that is completely in character with the new informal furniture of native American inspiration".

MATERIALS:   J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 39 balls of a light color and 28 balls of a dark color for a double size spread; 31 balls of a light color and 24 balls of a dark color for a single size spread. (If„ desired, two shades of one color may be used.);   Milward's steel crochet hook No. 9.
