Crochet Butterfly Pattern, Doily Chair Set, Mail Order 828

Crocheted Doilies:  This crocheted chair set is worked of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The wings of the butterfly and the arm rests are worked in the pineapple design.  The chair back measures 11 x 17 and the arm rests are 5-1/4 by 12 inches each. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 828 in 1944.  The newspaper description:  "Take a tip from nature for your decorative accessories. Crochet a charming chair set of this big, bold butterfly in pineapple design. An amateur will find it easy. Crochet for yourself, for gifts; it costs little". 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: 3 (150 yard) balls of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.
