Crochet Cake Plate Doily Pattern, Anne Cabot 5764

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5764.  The official description:   "Copies from an antique glass cake plate, this crocheted doily is as airy and graceful looking as the original plate. It's 12 inches in diameter and the center has a two and one half inch swirled design extremely popular with crocheters. It will make a lovely decorative piece for any room in your home".

Materials: 

• 1 ball (400 yards) mercerized crochet cotton, size 30.  
• Needle: Steel Crochet Hook #12.
