Crochet Chair Davenport Set Design 562

Crocheted Chair or Davenport Set:  This crocheted chair or davenport set is made of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in a simple design. Directions are given for a crocheted 5 x 11 inch strip; three strips are joined together to form the chair back, five strips form the davenport back and just one for each arm rest. If desired the chair set can be used as a buffet set or the chair back as ends for scarfs.    

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 562.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No 10 steel crochet hook.   The chair set requires approximately 500 yards of No. 30 cotton;   The davenport set requires approximately 700 yards of No. 30 cotton;   Each scarf end requires approximately 300 yards of No. 30 cotton.
