Crochet Cossack Feather Hat Pattern

Algiers : This pattern contains directions to crochet the hat shown. This is a cossack hat, albeit crochet versus fur. The pattern comes to us vintage 1939 from The Spool Cotton Company. The hat sits firmly on the head, higher in front than back, flat crown and an actual crocheted feather near the front.   it is an easy pattern in single and double crochet.  

Materials:   J. & P. COATS KNIT-CRO-SHEEN , 3 balls of any color;   MILWARD'S steel crochet hook No.9;   12 inches of millinery wire.

GAUGE: 9 d c make 1 inch; 6 rnds make 1 inch.
