This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot P-283.  It was also marketed as a parade pattern.  The newspaper description:  "Looking for a way to hide that extra roll of tissue in the bathroom? This cute Crinoline Lady will cover it, or a canister to hold those extra large curlers. Easy to crochet for keeping or giving". 

MATERIALS: COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, ('Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 1 oz. each of No. 737 Pink and No. 1 White;   2 (3) ozs. of No. 814 Robin Blue.   1 yard each of O.N.T. Six-strand Embroidery Floss: No. 12 Black, No. 43 Dk. Yellow, No. 69 Light Steel Blue and No. 59-C Jewel Rose;   Crochet Hook Size H;   Milwards Embroidery Needle No. 7;   1/2 yard elastic thread;   An empty 2 lb. 10 oz. Quaker Oats box and lid.
