Description

Daisy Cloth No 5701: This pattern contains directions to crochet the cloth shown. This pattern, a design from The American Thread Co. was also issued as a leaflet through the Local Sewing Club of Brooklyn NY. The handsome cloth is made up of 2 1/2 inch medallions in a Daisy Flower Motif in Mercerized Crochet Cotton. Join the medallions together to create a cloth that measures 55 x 75.

"When friends come for tea, your lace tablecloth adds a special welcome.  Here's a lovely cloth of square motifs with daisy centers as white, informal and graceful as a field of daisies.   These lacy pieces make cool summertime needlework for crocheters".

 Materials: 

  • AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON. ARTICLE 20. SIZE 20, 44-200 yd. Balls Cream, White or Ecru
  • or "Gem" Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Article 35, Size 20, 36-250 yd. Balls.
  • Steel Crochet Hook #11.

Each motif measures about 2 ½ inches. 660 motifs 22 x 30 are required for cloth measuring about 55 x 75 inches.
