Here's a lacy doily that has an interesting diamond pattern and would be pretty undcr a lamp. It measures about 15 inches in diameter. .Make it of number 30 mercerized thread (about 325 yards) with a size 11 crochet hook. 

Description

Crocheted Doily:  This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily pictured.  Taking us back to 1947, this design was featured in Workbasket magazine.  The doily, in an interesting diamond motif, measures 15 inches in diameter in No 30 mercerized crochet cotton.
