Crochet Dog and Striped Ball Pattern

No 4026 & 4031 : This pattern contains directions to crochet both the Loopy dog and the ball pictured. The pattern for the dog (Loop Stitch) or the ball are not stated, but I would image in the range of 10-12 inches for the dog and 5 inches (diameter) for the ball. This sweet puppy dog is adorable and would make a perfect toy or decoration. The ball is functional; stuffed with cotton batting and can be made either striped or solid. The design is vintage 1945 from Coats Clarks.

Materials :

• Dog: Chadwicks Red Heart Baby Wool, 3 (3/4 oz) balls, JP Coats or Clarks ONT Six Strand Embroider Floss, 1 skein Black, bone crochet hook No 5, cotton batting, 2 black ball buttons and 1-1/2 yards ribbon.
• Ball: Chadwicks Red Heart Knitting Worsted, scraps of red white blue or 1 ball of solid color, bone crochet hook No 5, cotton batting.
