Crochet Doilies Pattern, S-M-L, Laura Wheeler 2937

Crocheted Doilies:  These crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The doilies can be used to form luncheon or buffet sets or they can be used as odd doilies.  Crochet doilies in small, medium and large sizes.   The large doilies are 13 or 19 inches; the medium doilies 8 or 12 inches and the small doilies 4 or 6 inches.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2937 in 1941.  The newspaper description:  "It's not only looks but simple to crochet this set of doilies. And, they'll make one of those striking table settings that will glorify any meal".

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard)skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook 
• or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.
• The large doily requires approximately 325 yards of heavy cotton or 210 yards of fine cotton.
• The medium sized doily requires approximately 110 yards of heavy cotton or 67 yards of fine cotton.
• The small doily requires approximately 35 yards of heavy cotton or 26 yards of fine cotton.
