Crochet Doily Luncheon Set Laura Wheeler 2005

Crocheted Doilies:  These crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They make very attractive doilies.   Crochet a large doily at 17-1/2 inches, a medium doily of 11 inches or a small doily of 5-1/2 inches.    Use as random doilies, or combine for luncheon or buffet sets.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2005 in 1939. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook; or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.  The large doily requires approximately 295 yards of heavy cotton or 225 yards of fine cotton; the medium sized doily requires approximately 145 yards of heavy cotton or 102 yards of fine cotton; the small doily requires approximately 33 yards of heavy cotton or 25 yards of fine cotton.
