Crochet Doily Scarf Pattern, Versatile Filet, Mail Order 270

Versatile Filet: This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily pictured.   The design, named Versatile Filet, has dual uses.   Crochet the pattern as a doily with the wide fan borders for a centerpiece, or create multiple center sections - 15 x 15 inches each - and join for scarves or cloths.   

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Martha Madison No 270 in 1956.
