Description

Crocheted Doll with Outfit:  The pattern contains the directions for making two dolls; a white and a colored doll; and their clothes. Both dolls are made entirely in single crochet, the face is embroidered on after the head has been crocheted.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5969 in 1937.

 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: 2 (1 ounce) balls of flesh colored. and 1 ball of white 3-Fold. Saxony yarn, 1 (1 ounce) ball each of light blue French Zephyr and brown Shetland Floss, a few yards each of black, skipper blue and red Saxony yarn, a No. 5 and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, 1/5 yard of muslin and some kapok for stuffing and 1/4 yard of fine white Material for Blip.
