Description

Crocheted Hat and Bag:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the accessory set pictured.  The set includes a Dutch Cap as well as a matching envelope bag created in small square medallions, joined with an included layout chart.    Note:  This pattern is in All Caps, as originally issued.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts 2122 (Needlework Bureau) in 1944.  The newspaper description:  "Designed especially for the younger set, this hat and bag outfit applies the popular medallion idea into a sprightly dutch cap and roomy envelope bag". 

MATERIALS:  ABOUT 7 SPOOLS OF STRAWTEX. (75 YD SPOOLS); 1/4 YD. LINING; 1 YD. BUCKRAM; BONE CROCHET HOOK #5; 12" ZIPPER.
