This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5709 in 1936.  The newspaper description:  "Your lingerie will be daintier and lovelier than ever when you've trimmed it with these pretty lace edgings. Your favorite hankies and fine linens may also be trimmed with a bit of your own crochet for any or all of these stunning designs are easy to do".
