Description

First Love : This pattern contains directions to crochet the set shown.  A pretty set, perfect for evening or special occasion, it is crocheted in the always popular puff stitch.  The set includes a calot hat that sits quite prettily on the head, and accompanied by a small drawstring - ribbon - bag.  The bag is lined.  The design is vintage 1940s from the Spool Cotton Company. 

Materials: 

  • - J.& P. COATS TATTING COTTON, 6balls of any color for Calot and 8 balls for Evening Bag.
  • - Milward'sSteel Crochet Hook No.12.
  • - 1½ yds.narrow velvet ribbon for Bag. 
  • - ¼ yd. lining material for Bag.

Gauge: 1sc section and 1 lacy puff make ¾ inch (generously measured); 8 rows of sc make ½inch.
