"Here is a crocheted luncheon set which fairly breathes daintiness and charm, as well as fragility and freshness. A couple hanks of inexpensive crochet cotton are all that is required to crochet a set of four place mats and a runner. The stitches are none other than the simple chain stitch coupled with a double raw of double and single crochets, so it is easy to see how little time is required to make one set of four, and if the worker is ambitious, service for eight may be made at a little extra cost.
