Description

Crocheted Medallion: This crocheted medallion can either be made in two shades of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, unbleached and a contrasting color or it can be made entirely of unbleached. They can be made in two sizes; 8 inches or 10 inches. When joined together they form bedspreads and pillows.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5894 in 1937.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook. If the medallions are made entirely of one color, each medallion requires approximately 116 yards of cotton. If two colors are being used each medallion requires approximately 76 yards of unbleached and 42 yards of the contrasting color.
