Crochet Flower Motif Pattern Design 520

Crocheted Medallion:  These crocheted medallions can be made either of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and other household articles.  Crochet the large medallion at 4-1/2 or 6 inches and the small medallion at 1-3/4 or 2-1/4 inches.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 520 in 1946.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook, or unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   Each large medallion requires approximately 25 yards of fine cotton or 35 yards of heavy cotton; each small medallion requires approximately 6 yards of fine cotton or 8 yards of heavy cotton.
