Crochet Geometric Rugs Pattern, Alice Brooks 7098

Crocheted Rugs:  These crocheted rugs can be made either of four strands of Crochet and Knitting Cotton crocheted together, of Candlewick or of rags. The rugs are made of diamonds worked in half double crochet. After the crochet has been completed the diamonds are overcast together. The pattern includes charts for three different sized rugs, in different geometric layouts, also a few color suggestions.   The large rugs are 42 or 45 inches; the medium rugs 30 or 36 inches and the small rugs 30 or 32 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7098 in 1941.  The newspaper description:  "No matter in which room you use it, this rug will add to its beauty. Best of all, it's easy to crochet for its made up of diamonds joined together.
