Crochet Granny Square Jacket Shell Pattern Design 966

Crocheted Jacket and Shell : This pattern contains instructions to crochet the pieces shown. Included is a jacket as well as a shell that is sized misses small (32-34) and medium (36-38). The design is a 4 1/2 inch granny square motif that is crocheted in 3 colors of 3-ply Fingering Yarn. The blocks are joined with assistance of included layout charts. The jacket is below waist length, with contrast edges and a small notched collar. The shell is sleeveless rendition of the jacket, with a closed front.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 966.  The newspaper description:  "Spark your Spring wardrobe with separates of squares - easy pickup to carry! Crochet star squares; join in two flat piece for shell, three for jacket".
