Crochet Hairpin Lace Doily Set Pattern

The Hairpin Lace Luncheon Set:   This pattern gives directions to create the luncheon set pictured -- a combination of crochet and shuttle work.  The doily set is worked in two colors of crochet cotton and creates mats that measure 13-1/2 inches in diameter.   Although billed as a luncheon set, this mat set is one size only.  

Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "GEM" CROCHET COTTON, Article 35, size 30., 3 balls Gray, 3 balls Chartreuse or any contrasting color make 4 mats; Hairpin Staple 1 inch wide; Steel crochet hook No. 12;   1/2 yd. Gray linen or Indian Head.
