Crochet Hat Pattern, Anne Cabot 5317

Crocheted Hat:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the hat pictured.  This easy side fitting cloche is crocheted in chenille, for that special.  Instructions include the making of the rose or the bow trim.  The hat is one-size. 

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5317.  The newspaper description:  "This smart looking side-swept hat is easily crocheted in Chenille, which gives a velvety appearance. Trim with a luscious rose or with a fan-like motif for tailored occasions".

Materials:  3-1/2 oz light weight chenille in a dark color such as black, navy, dark green or brown;   1/2 oz of each of 2 bright colors for trimming (such as rose red, and aqua, chartreuse or bright blue);   Bone crochet hook No. 6
