"For crochet that's rich in design and different too, you'll find nothing lovelier than this choice medallion that looks like cluny crochet. Make a set of scarfs for your dining room; a bedspread for your bedroom".

Description

Crocheted Medallion:  This pattern contains directions for making a hexagonal medallion. The medallion can be made either of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.   The medallion, depending upon materials used, may be crocheted at 7 or 11 inches from point to points.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 452.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook or unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.  (Each medallion requires approximately 54 yards of fine cotton or 85 yards of heavy cotton).
