Crochet Hobnail Milk Glass Basket Bowl Pattern No 2703

Crocheted Hobnail Milk Glass Basket Vase and Bowl:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the two vessels pictured.  This vintage design is touted to take on the look of hobnail milk glass.  The basket Vase, with handle will measure 7-1/2 x 11 inches and the bowl will measure 3-3/4 x 10-1/2 inches.   Upon completion, the vessels are starched and then sprayed with clear plastic paint.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 2703 in 1958.  The newspaper description:  "Tempt your crochet hook with these lovely bowl and basket items! The stitch is simple to do and you'll find when the items are completed that they will look like hobnail glass - especially nice on dining table or buffet".

• 3 Skeins LILY Double Quick Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 50 — White
• Crochet Hook: Steel # 31
• Pressure can of clear Plastic Paint 
• 57" heavy millinery wire, White.
