Description

Lovely Hooded Cape for Baby:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the baby cape pictured.  The pattern, worked in Shetland Floss, is hooded with picot edging, scalloped edges and ribbon neck ties.  The actual size is not stated. 

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements under the name of Peggy Roberts in 1939.  The pattern bears the Royal Society symbol.   Apparently their was a business relationship between Royal Society and the Mail Order company.   

Materials: 4 oz Shetland floss or other light yarn, of main color; 1 oz trimming color; steel crochet hook No.3, 1-1/2 yds 1/2-inch ribbon
