Crochet Treasure Chair Set:  This pattern contains directions to crochet the chair set pictured.  In a flying humming bird motif among tree leaves is crocheted in No 20 crochet cotton.   The chair back will measure 12 x 17 inches; the arm rests are 9 x 9-1/2 inches each 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5800 in 1948.  The newspaper description:  "Give your living room chair a summer tonic with this stunning and unusual chair set. Fascinating crocheting and easy too; you'll be delighted with the results to your handiwork and receive compliments galore". 

Materials:  8 balls (80 yds each) of 6 cord crochet cotton No. 20 and a Steel crochet hook No. 10 (standard size).
