Crochet Knee Length Cape Pattern Anne Cabots Design 5449

Crocheted Cape : This pattern contains directions for crocheting the cape shown. This is a relatively easy crochet pattern for beginners to intermediate that is made in 4-ply Knitting Worsted. The design is a knee length cape with a slightly raised neckband, large patch pockets, a band around the openings, and frog closures. The pattern is sized Small, Medium and Large to fit misses between size 8 and 18.

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5449.  The newspaper description:  A perfect topper...the easy-to-wear cape in pretty crochet to be made in white or a favorite color.  This pattern was included in the Anne Cabot 1970 Needlework Album.  

Materials:  COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply ("Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 42 (44, 48) ounces in Gold or color desired;   Needle: Crochet Hook, Size J;   Accessories: Five frog fasteners with matching buttons in a contrasting color. Three snap fasteners.
