Crochet Lace Motif, Medallion & Fill Design 6547

Crocheted Medallions: These crocheted medallions are to be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and may other household articles.  When completed, the large medallion measures 4-1/2 or 7 inches and the small fill medallion measures 2-1/2 or 4 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6547 in 1940.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and. a No. 12 steel crochet hook.

The large medallion requires approximately 45 yards of heavy cotton or 30 yards of fine cotton; the small medallion requires approximately 9 yards of heavy cotton or 6 yards of fine cotton.
