Crochet Luncheon Set Doilies Pattern No 752

Crocheted Doilies:  This pattern contains directions for making a set of three doilies. They can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The doilies can be used as luncheon or buffet sets, or they can be used as odd doilies.  The doilies may be crocheted in three sizes.  The large doilies are 12 or 18 inches; the medium doilies 9 or 12 inches and the small doilies 5 or 7 inches in diameter.  Perfect for Luncheon or Buffet sets. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 752.   The newspaper description:  "These doilies are not only unusually beautiful in design but take very little time to make in string. You can quickly have a collection of varying sizes to use as incidental pieces or luncheon sets".

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.  The large doily requires approximately 265 yards of heavy cotton or 215 yards of fine cotton;   The medium sized doily requires approximately 140 yards of heavy cotton or 100 yards of fine cotton;   The small doily requires approximately 50 yards of heavy cotton or 35 yards of fine cotton.
