This vintage 1951 crochet pattern was originally billed as a chair set.  The measurements and design, however, are perfect for a luncheon set.  

Description

Diamond Chain Chair Set :  This vintage 1951 pattern was originally billed as a Chair Set.   I've added to the shop as placemats, as they are perfectly sized for a luncheon set.   The long mat, table runner sizes measures 11 x 18 inches and each of the small placemats are 8-1/2 x 11 inches.  It sports an elongated diamond textural motif worked by chart in popcorn stitch in the center with a checked edging.  

MATERIALS: For chair back 11” x 18” and arm piece 8 ½” x 11”: Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton, No. 20, 2 (400-yard) skeins; steel crochet hook No. 9.
