Crochet Motif Hat and Bag Pattern Mail Order 2059

The Very Best - Crocheted Hat and Bag:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the set pictured.  Both the hat and handbag are comprised of small round motifs  joined together with included layout charts.   The bag is lined with a zipper closure.   A handle may be attached, if desired.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as No. 2059 by Needlework Bureau in 1944.   NOTE:  This pattern was written in ALL CAPS. 

Materials:  6 SPOOLS OF CORDETTE (100% Rayon/Viscose cord). (75 YD. SPOOLS); 1/2 YD. WOOLEN;   1/2 YD. LINING. (SILK OR TAFFETA SUGGESTED;   I YD. BUCKRAM;   STEEL CROCHET HOOK NO. 00;   10" ZIPPER.
