Crochet New Pine Centerpiece Doily No 893

New Pine Centerpiece Doily:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily pictured.  Worked in Crochet Cotton the center is a spiraling wheel of butterflies surrounded three rows of pineapples and fan border.   When completed, the doily will measure 24 inches, or smaller with a smaller thread.  

This is a Mail Order design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Martha Madison (Needlework Bureau) in 1963.  

Material: About 700 yards Crochet Cotton Size 20 for a 24-inch doily. Use #10 steel crochet hook. (For smaller doily, one could use #30 or #40 thread & a #12 hook. For a larger one, bedspread cotton & #8 hook.)
