Description

 Crocheted Rug & Pillow: Rags, rug wool or candlewick may be used to make this crocheted rug and matching pillow. They are worked in three tones of one color or in three contrasting colors such as black, rose and grey; henna, beige and green; orchid, peach and green.   The rug will measure 30 x 48 inches, the pillow is 12 x 18-1/2 inches.   Note:  this pattern is partially worked from a color chart which will print on two pages and need taped together. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5469 in 1936. 

Materials:  Rug yarn (in skeins of 27 yards each); 9 skeins of light rose, 15 skeins of medium rose and 21 skeins of deep rose and a No. G steel crochet hook.
