Crochet Open-Work Capelet Stole Pattern No 1142

The Capelet Stole :  This pattern gives directions to crochet the capelet, stole pictured.   An open-work summery-looking stole, a bit of fluff to be made quickly and easily for topping an evening gown on a midsummer night. Looks luscious in pink, blue, yellow, green, or white obtainable in the fine baby yarns and in delicate pastel shades.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Martha Madison No 1142 - 3 times between 1957 and 1972.

Material: 5-ounces Fine Baby Yarn (3-ply wool or nylon), to make the Small Size; 6-1/2--ounces for Large Size. Use #1 crochet hook. Ribbon ties or a jewelled pin may be used for closing.
