Crochet Oval Round Pineapple Doilies No 7124

Crocheted Doilies:  These crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They can be used as buffet and luncheon sets or as odd doilies.   Create these doilies in two sizes each round and oval.   The round doilies are 12 or 18 inches in diameter.  The oval doilies are 16 x 32 or 25 x 46 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7124 in 1941. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook or unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (700 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   The oval doily requires approximately 716 yards of fine cotton or 1025 yards of heavy cotton; the round doily requires approximately 150 yards of fine cotton or 215 yards of heavy cotton.
