Description

Panda No P.C. 5420 :  This pattern contains directions to crochet the bear pictured.   This is a stuffed bear - a panda to be most specific.    The design is vintage 1940s; a mail order pattern from The National Needlecraft Bureau.   The actual size of the Panda is not stated, but, based on the visual, I would say in the 8 to 12 inch category.  

Materials: 

  • J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheel, 3 balls each of White and Black
  • Scraps of Brown and Red
  • Clarks ONT Plastic Crochet Hook No 5
  • Cotton batting for stuffing
  • 1 yard of blue satin ribbon, 1 1/2 inches wide
  • Gauge:  5 sts made 1 inch; 5 rows make 1 inch
