Crochet Pansy Chair Set Pattern, Peggy Roberts R-2618

Pansy Chairback Set: This pattern contains directions to crochet the chair set pictured. "Giant pansies, crocheted in the authentic colorings of the flowers, make this most unusual chair set. Colorful additions to an upholstered chair, whether to protect the covering or hide worn spots. Crocheted of a heavier than usual cotton, the set is quickly and easily made." The chairback measures 16 x 11 and the arm pieces are 10 x 7 inches.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau (Peggy Roberts) R-2618 in 1948.   

Materials:   #5 Pearl Cotton (50 yards in a ball). 2 balls of White, 3 balls each of Light Blue, Dark Blue. Orange and Yellow, 4 balls of Leaf Green;  1 skein of Brown Embroidery Floss (6 strand);   #4 steel crochet hook.
