Crochet Parasol Basket Planter Pattern, Mail Order 7098

Crocheted Planter:  This pattern contains directions for a graceful planter in a parasol design, crocheted in the easy pineapple stitch. Use the very heavy cotton used for jiffy crochet or three strands of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton held together.   The basket size is 10 x 15 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7098.  The newspaper description:  "Flower garden for the walls of your home! Crochet this graceful planter in parasol design (of easy pineapples) - fill it with bright artificial blossoms".   The pattern was included in the Alice Brooks 1959 Designs catalog.
