It comes from a time before snaps were the staple .. these pants are buttoned at the crotch and down the front panel. There is a wide waist band and shoulder straps that criss-cross in the back. The pattern references only 'infant' as the size.

What You Need for Infant Size:

• ROYAL PERLE, No. 5., 6 balls of any color.
• Steel Crochet Hooks No. I and No. 6.
• 10 pearl buttons.

GAUGE: (Pattern Stitch) 8 sts make 1 inch; 5 rows make 1 inch.
