Crochet Pineapple Doily Pattern, Mail Order 1208

Pineapple Doily:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily shown.  This pretty doily, on the large side at 16 inches in diameter, features a delicate flower center, surrounded by eight over sized pineapple leaves which form the deeply scalloped edge.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau as No 1208.  The simple newspaper description:  "This exquisite 16 inch doily is crocheted in the popular pineapple design".

Material: About 300 yds mercerized crochet cotton. Use a #9 steel crochet hook.

Size: If No. 20 thread is used, doily will measure about 16" in diameter. Use heavier thread for a larger doily, finer thread for A smaller one.\
