Description

A Pineapple Design : This pattern contains directions to crochet the pineapple motif pictured. This pretty trio of pineapples are worked in triple crochet, using Mercerized Crochet Cotton, The pineapples are crocheted ends intended to grace a linen or cloth runner that is 15 inches in width.   The pattern was written in 'all caps'.

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts R-2435 in 1953.  It was also marketed under the Needlework Bureau and Anne Cabot brand names in the same time period.   

Materials:   15" WIDE STRIP OF LINEN, CRASH OR ANY SUITABLE MATERIAL IN DESIRED LENGTH, FOR RUNNER;   2 - 400 YD. BALLS OF BEST MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, SIZE 20;   STEEL CROCHET HOOK No. 10
