Crochet Pineapple Flower Square Laura Wheeler 2597

Crocheted Square:  This crocheted square can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The squares can be joined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.   Crochet the square at 7" or 10", depending upon materials selected.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2597 in 1940.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   Each square requires approximately 115 yards of heavy cotton or 83 yards of fine cotton.
