Crochet Pineapple Potholder No R-2741

Crocheted Potholder:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the potholder pictured.   In the classic pineapple shape, this design measures 7-1/2 x 6 inches in two colors crochet cotton.  

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts R-2741 in 1953.   It was earlier marketed under the Anne Cabot brand.

Materials: 300 yds Mercerized Crochet Cotton, size 5, white. 200 yds Mercerized Crochet Cotton, size 5, yellow or any desired color. (If size 5 is not obtainable, buy 600 yds of size 30, white; 400 Yds of size 30, yellow;and use 2 strands together throughout. Steel Crochet Hook No. 7 (Standard Size). Plastic ring 7/8" size for hanging.
