Description

Crocheted Square : This pattern contains directions for making a pineapple crocheted square. The square can be made either of No 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows. The square, depending upon materials used can be made at 8 or 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 614 in 1943.

Materials Requirements:  No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook;   or unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and No 8 steel crochet hook.   Each square requires approximately 100 yards of fine cotton or 140 yards of heavy cotton.
