Crochet Pineapple Squares for Cloth, Laura Wheeler 2441

Crocheted Squares:  These two medallions can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.  The large medallion is 10 x 10" and the small medallion is 2 x 2 inches square.

This is a Mail Order Designs pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2441 in 1940.  "Everyone will admire your skill when you use a cloth crocheted in this lovely pineapple design.  The handy squares make grand pick-up work too!" 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 10 steel crochet hook 
• or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.
• Each large medallion requires approximately 110 yards of heavy cotton or 80 yards of fine cotton.
• Each small medallion requires approximately 32 yards of heavy cotton or 21 yards of fine cotton.
