Description

Crocheted Square:  This crocheted square worked in the pinwheel design can be made either of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and other household articles. Crocheted in heavy cotton the square can be used as a pillow top or as a doily.   This square may be crocheted at 12 or 16 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements..   This pattern was marketed as The American Weekly 3810 in 1946.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook;   OR Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (700 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   Each square requires approximately 275 yards of fine cotton or 380 yards of heavy cotton.
