Description

No 53 Luncheon Set : This pattern gives directions the place mats shown. This easy design, vintage 1950, was billed as a luncheon set. The official description: "Diagonal striping is wonderfully effective in a crocheted place mat, done entirely in one tone. Plan to make it in beige or in a go-with color for your china. The mat is a nice weight – in cotton. Each mat measures 12 1/2 x 19 inches.

Materials:

  • American Thread Company "De Luxe" Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, Art. 346. Seventeen 175-yd. balls beige or any color desired will make 4 mats.
  • Steel crochet hook No. 7.
