Crochet Poinsettia Doily American Weekly 3150

Crocheted Doilies:  These two crocheted doilies worked in a double-star design can either be made of No. 50 or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. They can be used as luncheon or buffet sets or as odd pieces.  The doilies may be crocheted in 3 sizes each small and large.   The small doilies are 9, 12 or 18 inches.  The large doilies are 15, 18 or 24 inches in diameter. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as The American Weekly 3150.  The newspaper description:  "Fine foundation for your candladra or vases. These doilies are also effective as a lunch set in thin or heavy cotton".
