Done “piece-meal” you'll find you will know this nine-inch medallion by heart very quickly. 

Description

Crocheted Popcorn Medallions: This crocheted medallion can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The medallions can be joined to form a bedspread and pillow.  Crochet the medallions at 9 or 6 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was mrketed as Alice Brooks 5899 in 1937.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook; or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. Each medallion requires approximately 115 yards of heavy cotton; or 80 yards of fine cotton.
